Space Hellas was assigned by the Germany-based company Conet Solutions GmbH, following a NATO international tender, the implementation of a VoIP-based Communication Network for the interconnection of 36 military NATO facilities in 22 European countries. The project is expected to be completed by the end of October 2014 and the price of the contract for Space Hellas amounts to 194,000 euros.
The project deals with the prompt and simultaneous voice communication between 150 devices, located in 22 European countries, responsible for the announcement and handling of both emergency and conventional incidents.
Space Hellas, acting as subcontractor of Conet Solutions GmbH, will initially conduct site surveys of the 36 military facilities, and subsequently perform the installation, commissioning and operation of the equipment in addition to training the users of these new systems. Equipment by Cisco, IBM, Conet and Andtek will be used for the implementation of this high priority NATO project.
This is yet another project that Space Hellas undertakes to carry out successfully in a particularly challenging international environment, relating to both stringent safety regulations as well as to demanding technical specifications.
